How To Troubleshoot The Ssis Import Package File System

Here are some simple methods that can help you resolve the file system issue of the ssis import package. To import using the file system, select the File system option. Click the Browse link (), select an important package and click Open. To keep the SSIS Package Repository up to date, define the SSIS Package Repository option when specifying a server.

If you choose to save these settings as a SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) package on the Save and Run Packages web page, the SQL Server Import and Export Wizard displays Save SSIS Package. This page provides additional options for registering specific packages using the wizard.

The various options displayed on the Save SSIS Package page usually depend on the selection you made earlier in the Save and Run Package article to save the package to SQL Server or a set of files to save. For more information on how to save and run a package, see the article Save run the package .

What is a platform? The wizard uses a copy of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) in the data. In ssis, the base unit is the main package. The wizard creates an SSIS package in memory as you scroll through the wizard pages or specify options.

The following screenshot shows the very first part of the SSIS Package Registration Wizard page. The rest of the page contains a varying number of options depending on the package and destination you choose.

Give A Name And Describe The Package For

Description
Provide a description of the package. Describe the purpose of the package as best you can, and most packages should be self-documenting and easier to maintain.

Target
The destination (SQL Server or file system) that you previously specified for the package. If anyone wants to save the package elsewhere, go back to the Save & Run page.

Use Windows Authentication
Sign in to the server using Integrated Windows Authentication. This is the most common authentication method.

Use SQL Server Authentication
Log in to the server using SQL Server Authentication.

Username
If you specified SQL Server Authentication, enter the username.

  • If the package is typically stored on SQL Server in our msdb database, connect to Integration Services. Thenm in SQL Server Management Studio go to Registered Packages | in MSDB Object Explorer, right-click the package and choose Run Package.

  • After you save the mapped package to the file system, see Running Integration Services (SSIS) Packages about the Stream package in your development environment. You must add the package to your Integration Services project before you can open and run it.

The wizard saves the package in which the msdb database is packaged in sysssis with regular packages. This option does not register a specific package with SSIS in the directory system (SSISDB).

Do not forget to specify the settings folder by entering it or even browsing. If you just enter a filename without a path, your company won’t know where the guru stores the package. In addition, the wizard may try to save the package to find a location that prevents the file from being saved, and even generates an error.
